You Don’t Have to Be in Crisis to Start Therapy
A lot of people think therapy is only for rock bottom. But truthfully? Some of the most powerful work I’ve done with clients starts before the breakdown.
One guy came in and said, look, nothing’s wrong, but nothing feels right either. He wasn’t in crisis. He had a good job, a partner, friends. But he felt flat. Disconnected. Like he was living on autopilot.
That’s a perfect time for therapy.
We explored what mattered to him—not just what he was doing, but why. Turns out, he’d built a life around what he thought he should want, not what he actually needed. Therapy helped him slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what made him feel alive again.
You don’t have to wait for a breakdown to start healing or growing. You can come in just because you’re curious, restless, or tired of feeling stuck. And often, that early work prevents bigger crashes down the road.
