You don’t have to be falling apart to want things to feel better.
I’m Jake—a counsellor who understands how complicated life can get. Maybe you’re stressed, stretched thin, using coping strategies that aren't healthy or just feeling flat and wondering, “Is this it?” I work with men who are ready to stop pretending everything’s fine and start making things work better.
I’ve been through burnout, dealt with self-doubt, and had those moments of questioning what it’s all for and how do I move forward. I’m not here as some expert with all the answers—I’m a real person who’s done the work and helps others do it too, in a grounded, practical way.
Counselling isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you understand yourself, gain clarity, and stop carrying the weight it all alone. We meet online - and talk honestly about what’s going on, without judgment or fluff.
What it’s like to work with me
I keep things real and straightforward. No psychobabble, no awkward silences. I use evidence-based approaches and practical strategies that fit into everyday life.
It’s a mix of honest conversation, helpful tools, and working together to figure out what actually helps you. We’ll go at your pace—but we’ll keep things moving.
Who I work with
I focus on working with men (adults & teenagers) figuring things out, men stuck in the grind, or who’ve hit a point where something needs to shift. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just tired of doing it all on your own, this space is for you.
A bit about me
I became a counsellor after realising there’s no magic fix—real change takes real work. And I had to do that work myself. That’s why I do what I do now: to support others as they figure things out for themselves.
I value connection, honesty, and helping people find a way forward—especially when life feels heavy or directionless. I believe stress, while uncomfortable, can be a signpost for growth. It’s often in the hard moments that we learn who we really are and what matters most.
I stay humble in my work because I know what it’s like to struggle. I’ve had the support of an incredible counsellor when I needed it most—and I know firsthand how powerful it is to have someone in your corner. I also know the value of a mentor, and how having the right support can make all the difference.
Outside of sessions, I keep grounded through the gym, riding motorbikes, being a dad, and staying ridiculously caffeinated. I genuinely care about people reaching their goals and creating a life they feel proud of—even when the path isn’t easy.
You don’t have to keep pushing through on your own.
If you’re ready to feel more like yourself again—or maybe figure out who that really is—let’s talk. Book a session online, contact me by email or phone or even start with a free 15-minute call. No pressure. Just a conversation.
